Nico’s at Pier 38

In 2004, the original Nico’s at Pier 38 seated 80 people under a green awning in a carved out corner of the POP Fishing & Marine building located in the heart of the Pier 38 Honolulu Fishing Village.  Soon word got out about the fresh fish and flavors coming from this lunch hot spot popular with locals, tourists, office and dock workers alike. By 2012 a new Nico’s was built in a 160-seat open-air restaurant complete with full bar and fish market, open 7 days a week, still located in the heart of the Pier 38 Honolulu Fishing Village.

Over the years, Nico’s at Pier 38 has been a consistent recipient of Honolulu Magazine’s Hale ‘Aina awards – including the Gold Award for Best Seafood, also Honolulu StarAdvertiser’s Oahu’s Best Restaurants, and has been featured on the Food Network’s popular show, Diners Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri. Recently, Chef Nico was selected by Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie to represent Hawaii at the Great American Seafood Cook-Off held in New Orleans.
