Kuhio Beach Park (Honolulu)

Named after Hawaiian Prince Kuhio (who once resided at this location), this is a popular public beach in the Honolulu area.

Note: at sunset (several days of the week), there is a torch lighting ceremony on Kuhio Beach and Hula performances at the Kuhio Beach Hula Mound. The hula performance is free and it typically takes place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., depending on several factors such as the weather and the time of year.  The hula mound is located near the point where Uluniu meets Kalakaua Avenue, near the Duke Kahanamoku Statue.
