Hawaii State Capitol

This is the official capitol building of the U.S. state of Hawaii.  The Hawaii State Legislature convenes here. The Governor of Hawaii and the Lieutenant Governor of Hawaii have their offices here, along with the Legislature. This building, opened in 1969, replaced the former statehouse – the Iolani Palace.  Given the current Capitol’s design, it’s perhaps the only one of America’s state houses that has an open air rotunda.
